HobbyShow Manager is a web application designed for direct, individual, and independent registration by each scale model event participant, whether attending the event in person or submitting models via proxy. Creating a user account allows participants to enter models, manage their entries, view real-time award results, and receive event-related communications through the App. Only registered users with an active account have access to these features. Judging feedback is available only where applicable.
The physical transport or delivery of a model to the event by another person (proxy entry), by itself, does not grant that individual authority to register, submit, or manage entries on behalf of a participant within the App.
Registration staff may enter participants who choose not to register as users of the App. These participants may be registered in person at the event or through models delivered by proxy.
Participants entered by event staff will have a user account created on their behalf; however, the account remains inactive until the participant completes the required profile information and sets a valid password. Only verified and activated user accounts may independently enter models, edit entries, view real-time award results, or receive event-related communications through the App. Until the account is activated, entries recorded by registration staff are accepted as submitted, and post-registration edits, updates, or notifications are not available.
Under-age participants may create their own user accounts when they have a personal email address and such registration is allowed or endorsed by a parent or legal guardian. In these cases, the under-age participant is responsible for the information submitted through their account.
If an under-age participant cannot register independently, a parent or legal guardian may submit model information on the participant’s behalf using the parent or guardian’s own account. By doing so, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they are authorized to act on the participant’s behalf and that the information submitted is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
HobbyShow Manager is provided “as available” but may be customized or adjusted to support the specific operational needs of individual clubs and events. While reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy, availability, and appropriate handling of user information, temporary delays, inaccuracies, or service interruptions may occasionally occur.
Because participating clubs and events may have unique requirements, certain features, workflows, or functions of HobbyShow Manager may be modified or adapted accordingly. Clubs or event organizers seeking changes tailored to their event operations should contact the HobbyShow Manager administrator sufficiently in advance to allow requested changes or adjustments to be reviewed, implemented, and incorporated into their event portal.
Clubs or event organizers acquiring a HobbyShow Manager license for the first time are entitled to web modifications at no additional cost for a period of twelve (12) months, beginning on the date the initial license is issued. This offer applies once per client and is not transferable or renewable.
For this purpose, a “web modification” means a change limited to the presentation layer of the event portal — including interface adjustments, wording and labels, layout, styling, branding elements, and the arrangement of information already available within the system. Changes that require modifications to the database — including new or altered data fields, tables, relationships, stored records, or the structure in which information is captured or retained — are not included and are quoted separately.
Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted sufficiently in advance of the event to allow them to be evaluated, implemented, and incorporated into the event portal. HobbyShow Manager determines whether a requested change qualifies as a web modification under this section, and reserves the right to decline or separately quote requests that are not technically feasible, that affect shared system functionality, or that fall outside the scope described above. After the twelve-month period, modifications are quoted at standard rates.
Personal information is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be disclosed to the event organizer you registered with, and to service providers acting on our instructions, as described in the Privacy Policy. Information collected through the App is used for event operation, administrative purposes, and aggregated statistical or historical records.
HobbyShow Manager provides technology used by independent clubs and event organizers to administer their own events. Event organizers are solely responsible for their event rules, eligibility requirements, categories, judging procedures, awards, schedules, fees, refunds, and any decision concerning a participant or an entry.
FDZ Aviation LLC does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for decisions made by event organizers through the platform, and is not a party to the relationship between a participant and the organizer of the event they entered.
Participants may choose to receive event notifications by email, by text message, by both, or not at all. Text messaging is optional, requires separate express written consent, and is never a condition of creating an account, registering for an event, entering models, or being judged. The terms governing text messages are set out in the SMS Terms of Service.
Effective August 8, 2026
The HobbyShow Manager® event notification text messaging program is operated by FDZ Aviation LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as HobbyShow Manager. FDZ Aviation LLC develops and operates the HobbyShow Manager platform and sends event notification text messages on behalf of the scale model clubs and event organizers that license the platform. Messages are sent from +1 (844) 749-0205.
This is a recurring, non-marketing notification program for participants who have registered for a scale model contest or exhibition that uses HobbyShow Manager. If you opt in, you may receive text messages relating to the event you registered for, including:
We do not send promotional, marketing, or advertising text messages through this program, and we do not send text messages on behalf of any third party unrelated to the event you registered for.
Consent is collected on the HobbyShow Manager participant registration form and on the participant profile page. To receive text messages you must take two separate, affirmative steps: select “Mobile” or “Both” as your event notification preference, and separately check the SMS consent box, which reads:
“I agree to receive event notification text messages from FDZ Aviation LLC (HobbyShow Manager) at the number provided, including award results, raffle announcements, and registration updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy. Optional. Not required to create an account.”
The consent box is unchecked by default. Consent is not a condition of creating an account, registering for an event, entering models, or being judged. You may use every feature of HobbyShow Manager without ever agreeing to receive text messages. We record the date, time, and originating IP address of each consent, together with the exact wording shown to you.
We send text messages only to a mobile number held on an account for which the SMS consent above has been affirmatively given, and only for as long as that consent stands. We do not purchase, rent, import, or otherwise acquire phone number lists, and we never message a number that has no consent record against it.
Message frequency varies and depends on the event you registered for and how far along it is. Most participants receive only a handful of messages per event, typically concentrated around the event date. We do not send messages on a fixed schedule.
Message and data rates may apply. HobbyShow Manager and FDZ Aviation LLC do not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for messages sent or received depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text STOP to +1 (844) 749-0205. After you send the message STOP to us, we will send you a reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
You may also opt out at any time by logging in to your HobbyShow Manager account, opening Edit User Information, and either unchecking the SMS consent box or changing your event notification preference to Email or None. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your event registration and does not affect your entries or judging.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at contact@hobbyshowmanager.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of text messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and to network availability, and is outside of our control. We cannot guarantee that any individual message will be delivered, and you should not rely on text messages as your only source of event information.
The program is supported by major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket, and Google Voice, as well as many smaller regional and reseller carriers. Carrier support may change without notice.
Your mobile number and your messaging consent are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes, and mobile information is not shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number only with the messaging provider that transmits the message on our behalf (Twilio Inc.), solely to deliver the messages you asked for.
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes to the nature or frequency of the messages will be reflected here, and where required we will collect fresh consent rather than rely on consent given under earlier terms.
Effective August 8, 2026
This policy describes what information we collect through the HobbyShow Manager platform, how we use it, and who we share it with. Scale model clubs and event organizers license HobbyShow Manager to run their events. When you register for an event, FDZ Aviation LLC processes your information both on its own behalf as the platform operator and on behalf of the organizer of the event you registered for.
We collect only what is needed to register you, judge your entries, and keep you informed about the event:
We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, and we do not build marketing profiles.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your mobile number and your SMS consent are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. We disclose your mobile number only to the messaging carrier and messaging provider (Twilio Inc.) that transmits the message on our behalf, and only for the purpose of delivering the event notifications you asked to receive.
Text messaging is entirely optional and is never a condition of registering for an event. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by changing your notification settings in Edit User Information. Full details are in the SMS Terms of Service.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:
Award winners and results may be published publicly as part of the normal conduct of a contest. Published results identify winners by name and entry; they do not include your email address, phone number, or age group.
Account and entry information is retained so that participants can access their history across events. SMS consent records are retained for at least four years after consent is withdrawn, as required to evidence compliance with telecommunications regulations. You may request deletion of your account at any time; where we must retain a consent record, we retain only the minimum needed to demonstrate that consent existed.
Participants under 18 may hold an account where a parent or legal guardian permits it, as described in the Terms and Conditions; holding an account does not involve text messaging unless SMS consent is separately given. We do not knowingly collect a mobile telephone number or SMS consent directly from a child under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided such information should reach us through the official contact form and we will delete it.
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to participant data within the platform is restricted by role. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date shown at the start of this document reflects the current version.
Questions or issues related to the use or operation of the HobbyShow Manager App, to these terms, to the text messaging program, or to the information held about you should be directed to the developer through the official contact form.
Questions about the event itself—including rules, judging procedures, awards, categories, limits, and guidelines—should be directed to event staff and are governed by the official event rules published by the organizers.
HobbyShow Manager provides tools used by event staff and judges to record, calculate, manage, and publish judging information. The platform does not create, interpret, or enforce contest rules, and does not independently determine scores, awards, eligibility, or contest outcomes. All judging decisions remain the responsibility of the event organizer and its authorized judges.
